IPE Pro Eligibility
- To become eligible for IPE pro contests competitors must win a pro-qualifying placement at a designated IPE pro qualifier offered by one of the IPE amateur affiliates: NANBF (USA), NPAA (Canada).
- Pro Card winners must apply for professional status by purchasing their IPE membership within 30 days of the Pro qualifiing show. IPE Membership not purchased within 30 days - pro qualification will expire and the athlete will revert to amateur status.
- Pro Status and Category will be authorized through ipemembership.com.
- IPE membership $150 annually and must be purchased before entering IPE Professional events. IPE memberships are Non Refundable and Non Transferable.
- To maintain and keep IPE “Pro Status" Pro’s must keep their IPE Pro membership active AT ALL TIMES.
- Competitors who qualify as IPE pros for any category are considered eligible for all IPE pro categories of their sex. Competitors may not compete in more than one category at any given IPE pro show.
- Once a competitor participates in a IPE Pro contest, they are no longer eligible to compete in amateur contests.
- Competitors cannot use any of the Banned Substances during the time periods specified on the banned substance list.
- IPE Pros are subject to random drug screening. In order to maintain IPE Pro eligibility, Pros must comply with random drug test screening requests within the specified time.
After March 31, 2024 IPE will no longer accept pros from other federation. Pros from other federations who completed the pro status form and met IPE standards by March 31, 2024, will be grandfathered in as long as their IPE membership has been kept active.
IPE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFICATION:
For IPE pros to be eligible to compete in the International Pro Elite World Championships:
- Compete in at least one IPE Open or Masters contest earlier in the year.
- Competitors who compete in IPE Worlds, are automatically qualified the following year.
- Pro Womens Bodybuilding category do not have to qualify for IPE Worlds.
- IPE World Champions are qualified for life.
NOTE:
To qualify for IPE Worlds and reside more than 800 miles of an IPE Pro contest, you can apply.
- When applying, IPE pros must show proof of their active pro status.
Exceptions to this policy can be made for Pros NOT residing in the United States.
